Wedding Day · February 29, 2028
After sixteen years together, we’re gathering the people we love in the mountains of northern Costa Rica for something intimate, beautiful, and a little unexpected.
Think misty mornings, long dinners, candlelight, rainforest air, and nowhere else we need to be.

Our story
We met in 2010, and in the years since, we’ve grown together through just about every version of life — the highs, the lows, the ordinary days, and the unforgettable ones. We’ve built a life side by side, shared more experiences than we could ever count, and somehow made sixteen years pass very quickly. In November 2025, we made it official-official. Now we’re doing the only thing that feels right: disappearing into the Costa Rican rainforest with our favorite people and getting married on the rarest date we could find.
B + I
The weekend
We want this to feel less like attending an event and more like stepping away together for a few unforgettable days.
Welcome to Bijagua. Check in, exhale, find your people, and let the rainforest do its thing.
Slow morning, time to explore, optional adventures, and room to simply enjoy where we are. Evening details to come.
The reason we’re all here. Ceremony, dinner, dancing, and a leap-day celebration under the stars.
No alarms. No agenda. Recover, reconnect, explore, or stay exactly where you are.
One last breakfast before departures. We’ll send everyone home full, happy, and hopefully a little reluctant to leave.
Where we’re staying
Our celebration will unfold across the Origins collection in Bijagua — intimate rainforest lodges and villas connected within the same mountain setting.
We’re coordinating room assignments personally so each household lands somewhere that makes sense for its size and group. All meals are included throughout the four-night stay.

Liberia International Airport (LIR) is the closest international airport to Origins, approximately a 1.5-hour drive away.
Private airport transfers can be arranged. We’ll share arrival guidance and transportation details once travel plans are being collected.
Because accommodations vary in size, we’re pairing invited guests thoughtfully. If there’s another invited guest you’d prefer to room with, tell us as early as possible.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included throughout the stay, so you can settle in and let Origins take care of the rest.
We know a destination wedding is a commitment. Our goal is to make the logistics clear, organized, and as easy as possible from the moment you say yes.
While we’re there
There will be plenty of room in the weekend to disappear into the rainforest, try something new, or simply stay put with a drink and a view.
On the property
Several experiences are included with your stay right on the property: nocturnal exploration, the biodiversity tour, hiking to the waterfall, and fishing at the lagoon. Additional on-property experiences can also be booked separately.
Beyond Origins
Northern Costa Rica has no shortage of ways to get muddy, soaked, awestruck, or all three. Optional off-site excursions can be arranged for anyone who wants to explore beyond the property.
Nocturnal exploration, the biodiversity tour, the waterfall hike, and lagoon fishing are included with the stay. Other on-property and off-site experiences are optional and priced separately. Availability and rates may change before 2028, so we’ll share current booking details closer to the wedding.
“A rare date,
a wild place,
our favorite people.”

Truly. Traveling all the way to Costa Rica to celebrate with us is more than enough.
But because we know some of you will ask, we’re creating a Honeyfund for the adventures, experiences, and memories that come after the wedding.
