After sixteen years together, we’re gathering the people we love in the mountains of northern Costa Rica for something intimate, beautiful, and a little unexpected.

Think misty mornings, long dinners, candlelight, rainforest air, and nowhere else we need to be.

Our story

A long love story.
A leap-day wedding.

We met in 2010, and in the years since, we’ve grown together through just about every version of life — the highs, the lows, the ordinary days, and the unforgettable ones. We’ve built a life side by side, shared more experiences than we could ever count, and somehow made sixteen years pass very quickly. In November 2025, we made it official-official. Now we’re doing the only thing that feels right: disappearing into the Costa Rican rainforest with our favorite people and getting married on the rarest date we could find.

Our celebration will unfold across the Origins collection in Bijagua — intimate rainforest lodges and villas connected within the same mountain setting.

We’re coordinating room assignments personally so each household lands somewhere that makes sense for its size and group. All meals are included throughout the four-night stay.

Getting to
the middle of nowhere.

Fly into Liberia

Liberia International Airport (LIR) is the closest and easiest airport for the wedding weekend, approximately 1.5 hours from Origins.

We’ll help with the final leg

Private airport transportation can be arranged from Liberia to Origins. Once we begin collecting everyone’s travel plans, we’ll share more detailed arrival guidance and help coordinate the easiest way in.

You probably won’t need a car

If you’re staying at Origins for the wedding weekend, a rental car isn’t necessary. Once you arrive, your accommodations, meals, included activities, and wedding events are all centered around the property.

If you do choose to rent a car — especially if you’re extending your trip or exploring on your own — please make sure you rent a 4-wheel-drive vehicle for the roads around Bijagua and the property.

Then stay awhile

Once you get there, the goal is to settle in and enjoy it. Four nights in the rainforest, no daily commuting, no bouncing between hotels, and nowhere else you need to be.

The stay

What your stay
includes.

$3,500 per person

Your rate includes 4 nights of accommodations, all applicable taxes and service fees, breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day, plus 4 preselected on-site activities.

Privacy built in

Even when sharing a villa, each bedroom has its own private entrance and private bathroom, so everyone still has their own space.

If there’s another invited guest or couple you’d especially like to stay with, let us know as early as possible and we’ll do our best to coordinate your villamates accordingly.

Come hungry

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included throughout your stay. Origins’ culinary program has been shaped by Michelin-starred and Meilleur Ouvrier de France chef Jean-Luc L’Hourre, with that fine-dining influence carried through the on-property culinary team.

Expect thoughtful, beautifully presented meals with a strong focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Four experiences are included

Your stay also includes nocturnal exploration, the biodiversity tour, the waterfall hike, and lagoon fishing.

Additional on-property and off-site adventures are available separately for anyone who wants to add more to the weekend.

Ready to book? Once you submit your RSVP and confirm you plan to attend, Brandy will personally connect you with our wedding coordinator, who will help you secure your accommodations and arrange payment.

Because we were able to secure a special wedding rate, accommodations are subject to availability and can only be held for a limited time before being released back to the public. If you know you’ll be joining us, we strongly recommend booking as soon as possible.

A payment plan is available if needed: 50% due at booking, 25% due June 30, 2027, and the final 25% due August 30, 2027. All reservations are non-refundable.

While we’re there

Do as much —
or as little — as you want.

There will be plenty of room in the weekend to disappear into the rainforest, try something new, or simply stay put with a drink and a view.

Several experiences are included with your stay right on the property: nocturnal exploration, the biodiversity tour, hiking to the waterfall, and fishing at the lagoon. Additional on-property experiences can also be booked separately.

Beyond Origins

If you’re feeling adventurous

Northern Costa Rica has no shortage of ways to get muddy, soaked, awestruck, or all three. Optional off-site excursions can be arranged for anyone who wants to explore beyond the property.

Nocturnal exploration, the biodiversity tour, the waterfall hike, and lagoon fishing are included with the stay. Other on-property and off-site experiences are optional and priced separately. Availability and rates may change before 2028, so we’ll share current booking details closer to the wedding.

Good to know

A few answers
before you ask.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Our celebration is by invitation only. We’re unable to accommodate additional or unnamed guests, so please RSVP only for the person specifically invited.

Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?

Yes. Please include any dietary restrictions or allergies with your RSVP so we can make sure the culinary team is aware.

What should we wear?

Wedding-day attire and weekend packing guidance are coming soon. Expect elevated destination dressing, natural fabrics, and shoes that are friendly to a mountain property.

What will the weather be like?

Bijagua is lush and tropical, so expect warm temperatures, humidity, and the possibility of rain even during the drier season. We’ll share a more detailed packing guide closer to the wedding.

Do we need passports?

Yes. Guests traveling from the United States will need a valid passport to enter Costa Rica.

Are there mobility considerations?

Origins is a mountain property with stairs, pathways, and uneven terrain in some areas. If you have mobility concerns, please let us know early so we can help coordinate the most comfortable accommodations and transportation options.

Can we extend our trip before or after the wedding?

Absolutely. If you’d like to spend additional time in Costa Rica, you’re welcome to plan a longer trip around the wedding. Your wedding stay and group accommodations will be coordinated separately.

When will we get the full wedding schedule?

We’ll share the finalized weekend schedule closer to the wedding, including ceremony timing, dinner, transportation details, and any other group plans.

Will there be Wi-Fi and cell service?

Because we’ll be in a remote rainforest setting, connectivity may not feel quite like home. We’ll share more detailed property information before the trip so everyone knows what to expect.
